Conspiracy Theories: From Bunked to Debunked
For as long as there has been man and word, there has existed a need for truth.
A thirst for knowledge.
A hunger for… also knowledge.
Today I will debunk popular conspiracy theories. While I attest to professing little to no knowledge in a variety of subjects, I will attempt to beat off my detractors (heh!) by implementing a simple scale of one to ten that will determine the likelihood of truth in each theory.
Here is the scale:
The number “six” wouldn’t fit with the size and font I chose. Also, the colours are meaningless.
NEXT STOP: CONSPIRACY????????????

Further Considerations of the Phantasmagoric
Sleep, much like the cognate world, has not been kind to me.
I’m often plagued by visions magnifique, thematic elements that haunt me even when I wake.
I’ve noticed that recently, the way I remember my dreams has changed.
Usually I remember whole chunks, stories or acts. Event A led to Event B, which initiated Event C. I can see why things unfolded as they did. Though medical doctors have stated in many reputable studies that one can dream up to a dozen times in a single eight hour session, we only tend to remember the last few before we wake. Fairly normal, across the board sort of occurrences. However my dreams have been cutting in and out, as I seem remember as little as a line of dialogue, or as much as a single scene. It’s as if I’m flipping channels and catching bits and pieces of an old movie on cable.
Something must have happened to cause this shift in recollection… the questions is what?

Good Music: Let Me Tell You What!
There’s a lot of people listening to a lot of music these days. You’ve got your top 40 airheads, your R&B/rap mofos, your alternative rock peeps, your screamo weirdos and so on. Music, like porn, seems to have mushroomed into a relentless eruption of uncontrollable proportions during the digital age. Anyone can download a couple programs, buy a mic and become a recording artist. These artists make up the ‘independent’ scene of course. Like in film independent recording artists are allowed a much greater leeway with what they produce since there’s no real money being put on the line by anyone but the artist themselves.
Again like film, big record executives now watch the indie scene for bands that are getting some buzz or creating a following. They then poach these artists (sorry, ‘discover’ them) and make millions of dollars off their hard work. Wow, I sound like Steve Blouin. Anyway, this is the basic lay of the land, as they say, in the music industry today. The question I raise is this: With so much stuff out there, how do you know what’s cool? And by extension, how do you know what to listen to in order to make yourself seem cool to others? Read on my friend, the answers lie below.
